Singer, songwriter Bob Campanell played his first gig in September of 1965 in Runnemede, NJ where he grew up. As early as 1970 he was performing his own material in concert opposite groups like The Monkees, Grass Roots and Jay and the Americans. Bob also played at Bayshores, the Dunes and Steel Pier that summer. In 1976 Bob and his band “The Shakes” moved to Asbury Park and for the next five years played with Bruce Springsteen, Meatloaf, Bo Diddley, Cheap Trick, Sam and Dave, and Southside Johnny to name a few. A young man named Bon Jovi opened for Bob.

Bob is now in his 40th year of performing concerts and clubs and appearing on radio, TV and doing hundreds of hours of studio recording.
